The conservation measures shown here in southern Alsace I implement all myself and finance them so far also privately. It all started in 2019 with my project "1000 arbustes et arbres pour Ranspach le Haut".
My goal in this ambitious project were to plant 1000 wild shrubs and trees in the surrounding area and on the edge of our village to counteract the clearing of the landscape and the loss of many old fruit trees.

In the beginning I was literally alone in the field and in the first late autumn I could only plant two hedges of about 20 m each, but in the year 2020-2021 my vision got wings through many conversations and persuasion.
A farmer leased me a large meadow for nature-oriented redesign, more and more ideas were born, more and more residents approached me about my projects and encouraged me, even the municipal administration has now (spring 2021) jumped on the bandwagon.
The positive feedback is still great, I appreciate it very much and am infinitely grateful to all supporters. At the same time, I hope that this journey will lead to much more than "just" 1000 shrubs and trees, and that we can create long-term habitats, as well as new solidarity and commitment in the village.
